Translated: Dragon's Mountain
One of the most beautiful places i have seen in my short life time. One of the reasons we decided to come here was Lesotho. it is a Country that is surrounded by these mountains. We signed up for a 2 day excursion on horses that took us over these mountains to get a glimpse of Lesotho. (pronounced: Les-hoot-too) Unfortunately Rusty contracted THE worst case of Tonsillitis- (Doctors exact words). So we decided not to go on our excursion. Luckily we didn't pay before hand. SO we rested and relaxed for a couple of days in the mountains. It was quite nice.
Our First day in The Drakensberg Mountains
THis is when rusty started to feel sick and couldn't hike anymore, i knew it was serious because it is very unlike rusty to not want to hike.
These are mountain flowers, pretty hardy to have to live in the African Bush
we made the mistake of leaving food in plain view in our back seat whilst on our hike, and the baboons got pretty mad that they couldn't get into our car. So they decided to poop and throw mud at it. we had a good laugh when we got back to our car.
poor rusty being sick on our Anniversary
This Zebra showed up on the farm that we were staying at. They said that zebras do not live anywhere near there. But the zebra decided to stay, and it is still a mystery of how it got there. oh and it got pregnant by one of the stallions at the farm- it's going to be an interesting baby zebra....
These sheep were cute, they hung out with us, they were very friendly. And yes, i am sporting a calculator watch- it is the best to have for exchange rates
